Unrelenting Quest for Happiness

The story of a rodent’s unrelenting quest for happiness and fulfillment. Music: ‘Habanera’ by Bizet ‘Morning Mood’ by Edvard Grieg www.stevecutts.com https://www.facebook.com/SteveCuttsArt https://www.instagram.com/steve_cutts… https://twitter.com/Steve_Cutts

Some great reviews about this video:

Happiness is not really in getting that money, or luxurious car and huge houses and taking drugs. Happiness is already in us. Know thyself. Seek it within, then all goodness will follow. But we always tend to seek happiness without, on external circumstances and things, not realizing that they will not be enough and that they will pass away, or you’ll pass away without them.

We’re always desiring something outside of us to fill the inner emptiness that we have which is only a result of ignorance/ not knowing oneself.happiness website-developer-wordpress-ecommerce

There’s something in all of us that’s beyond value, that’s beyond all the riches and treasures of the world. And that’s your essence/soul/psyche. It is the essence of God itself. From it all comes the goodness and happiness.

We look outside to be happy, because we don’t know ourselves. We want things, circumstances to happen, praise and fame from other people etc etc thinking that they will somehow make us something more than ourselves. The danger of this seeking externally, is that, as in the myth of psyche and Cupid Or Snow white, SLEEP. Psyche (which literally means Soul in Greek) falls asleep when she opened the box (materialism).

The same with Snow White eating the apple (which also symbolizes materialism). Our soul falls asleep when we let ourselves be slaves to our desires and any discursive thoughts and emotions! Know thyself!

I disagree with the criticism of anti depressants. I know not every pill works for everyone, and side effects are a risk, but if I have to choose between the constant crushing feeling of depression and thoughts of suicide, or the chance to live without those that anti depressants give me, I’m happy with my choice.
